Gaming therapy for the psychological recovery of veterans
ilitary personnel and veterans are among the most vulnerable groups to psychological deterioration in the context of the full-scale invasion. The experiences they endure while defending us and our country often manifest as PTSD, anxiety disorders, apathy, and other consequences of psychological trauma.
Unfortunately, traditional psychological help is not always effective: many people don't want to appear vulnerable or are not yet ready for deep work with their condition. At the same time, alternative approaches exist that can help gently and gradually, without additional pressure or stigmatization.
One such approach is gaming therapy. The positive impact of gaming on psychological well-being is confirmed by international research. In the context of helping those returning from the front to civilian life, the benefits extend beyond alleviating symptoms of severe psychological conditions — they also improve socialization and reintegration into community life.
